Support for non-profits

CAP has supported charities, social enterprises, community groups and sports clubs since 2011 – helping them start up, stabilise, grow and thrive. Over that time we have worked with over 1,000 organisations across Kent, the wider South East and London, to embrace ideas, techniques, tools and approaches designed to build resilience and sustainability from the roots upwards.

In its support for not-for-profits, CAP brings creativity, objectivity and the belief that it is possible for third sector/VCSE organisations to be more business-like without becoming profit-driven businesses.

Our work is underpinned by The CAP Way and we treat every not-for-profit as an individual – with different needs, different goals, different cultures and different backgrounds. Our reputation is built on the flexible and enthusiastic way we empower our not-for-profit clients.

If you would like to know more about any of the services below or would like to work with us, please either make a free consultation booking or use the enquiry form, at the bottom of this page

Leadership
Coaching

Leading a charity or social enterprise is often a very lonely place – caught between the needs of staff and the board, being partly strategic and partly operational and frequently responsible for the organisation’s income. It can be a very challenging role.

Our leadership coaches can fit around your needs – light-touch, structured or intensive hands-on support for a few weeks or for much longer.

Talk to us and find out how we can support your CEO/Leader to develop their skills, knowledge and capacity to effective lead a resilient and robust organisation.

Fundraising
&
Bid Writing

If you want to develop the skills to apply for grants and other forms of funding we suggest you contact our Kent Infrastructure Partners at Funding for All [Link to their website]. They have a lot of experience, a large network of mentors and have a lot of resources to help you become an outstanding fundraiser.

However, if you don’t have the time, the way with words or the patience to fill in repetitive funding forms then we can offer hands-on support – writing your bids for you. Our bid-writers will prepare bids in partnership with you - explaining their approaches, sharing their tools and also encouraging you to ‘have a go’.

In the past year we have supported our clients to raise over £480,000 in grant funding.

If you would like to talk to us about our fundraising and bid-writing service then please fill in an enquiry form and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Using digital tools better is creating huge opportunities for not-for-profits to make savings whilst still delivering person-centred, accessible and impactful services.

Our resident expert, Richard Motley, will visit you in person, review your use of digital technology,  provide an audit and assessment, create an easy-to-implement,  digital plan for you and support you to embed digital tools in your not-for-profit’s activities.

If the world of AI, automation, data management and workflows is confusing to you, then a day of Richard’s time could be just what you need.
